"It was where I discovered I liked to teach..."

Gillian "Tba" Payne wrote us this letter while attending teacher's college in New Zealand:

...As I was sitting in class I realized the reason I was getting it and not feeling overwhelmed but rather prepared for teaching was because of Camp and everything I learned there from you.  I can't tell you how lucky I am having had the experience I did at camp.  Camp is what teaching is all about, in fact I should rephrase that, all teachers should have to go to camp because then they would get the foundation, the experience, the know-how needed to go on to teach.

So I wanted to e-mail you to say Thank You.  Thank you so much for encouraging me to go back to camp, for making me the LIT Director and Programme Director and Outdoor Ed Director.  Everything I learned at camp is so applicable to life and the profession i have chosen.  I really feel that if everyone worked at a camp they would feel so much better prepared to be a teacher.  I feel very fortunate to have worked at camp and ahead of the game really because camp introduced me to this.  And camp was the reason I went into teaching in the first place,  it was where I discovered I liked to teach.
