SYNOD NEWS

The new Synod Camp Board met on November 18 th in Barrie . The Board consists of the convenor, Peter Bloom, 1 representative from each of the Music Camps and Dorothy Lake , 2 representatives from each of the residential camps, Iona and Glen Mhor, and the 2 Glen Mhor Directors (Topaz and Zoic) who are non-voting members. We are currently meeting monthly and are working together to come up with a plan that works best for the entire Synod’s camping ministry. This is a very exciting time for camping ministry!

CAMP THESE DAYS

Well December 1 st certainly came in like winter! It snowed for almost 24 hours, we lost power at camp for most of the day, and it is definitely a winter wonderland! Maverick could not be happier…the husky in him loves the snow and he doesn’t want to come inside. Webster, however, as you know is a bit more of a suck, so he doesn’t like to be outside when it’s cold.

Zoic is busy redoing the website (so check back soon to see our new look!) and Topaz is booking churches and working on next summer’s TLC. We are also up to our eyeballs in budgets and working out how best to serve you in 2005.

As always, we would love to hear from you. We are currently accepting registrations for the 2005 season and would be happy to answer any of your questions. We are getting so excited for next year!

REGISTRATIONS

We are currently 52% ahead of last year’s numbers at this time! How exciting for Glen Mhor and Christian camping in our Synod. If you have not already registered, please do so soon to avoid missing out on the session of your choice. This summer, why not bring along a friend to enjoy the awesome Glen Mhor experience?!

If you would like a 2005 brochure sent to you or a friend, please contact Camp by email or telephone and give us the name and complete address including postal code.
