Comments from our Campers and Parents
From a Parent (2006):
I just wanted to drop you a quick note to thank you so much for all your
help with the food organization for my daughter Lisa Hornibrook. Lisa
is required to follow a gluten-free diet and you had worked with me to
come up with something that would work - and it did! She had a great
time and camp and hopes to return there next year for another fun-filled
week. Thank you so much for helping make this possible for her. Food
is something we often don't think much about, but when diet concerns
arise, it can become quite a BIG issue, and for Lisa that week it
wasn't - - - which was my ultimate goal. Mission accomplished, thanks
to you!!!
My heartfelt thanks for being so helpful throughout!
My thanks and appreciation also to Adam and Beth as I had an opportunity
to speak with you both separately during the drop-off and was extremely
impressed with your enthusiasm and the great things you have done with
the camp. BOTH my daughters AND my niece attended camp July 2-8th this
year and had a blast. My niece, now 15, came away saying "I can't
believe I've wasted so many years not going to camp". She plans to
return next year for the LIT training and one day be a counsellor. Now
we have one nephew to bring along to the Glen Mhor way of thinking. I'm
sure he'll be signing up for next year!
From a Camper
hello camp cairnians! I am a camper at camp cairn!
Iwent to teen week in the glen mhor program and I have to say it changed my life.
I love glen mhor and i will keep going every year now. I meet new people every year and it only took a week for me to grow so close to them all. I
already miss it there and its only been a few hours since I was breathing the glen mhor air.
please say hello to quil and mazurka and opa for me! They were my counsellors for the week...I loved having TLC with them. My whole cabin was into it.
I also really love the food at glen mhor also. Very healthy and good.
Over all I love camp and it brings people together. I feel loved and respected at glen mhor and I definetly give camp cairn a thumbs up!
Thanks again,
A Camper
