Cairn’s Leader in Training program develops extraordinary leaders in today’s world.

LIT is a three OR four week program for 16-17 year olds to explore how they can use their skills to be a more effective leader at camp and in their everyday life. Throughout the month, the LITs will participate in sessions that their LIT Program Coordinators design for their unique group to help them become effective leaders individually and as a collective.

These young leaders will build community on a four-day canoe trip, develop swimming skills to attain their Bronze Medallion qualification, and learn through activities designed to develop their practical leadership skills.

LITs have the opportunity to apply their leadership skills as they shadow a variety of camp staff roles including site & facilities, kitchen, and counsellors - often returning as camp staff the following year. LITs leave this program with new skills, greater self-awareness, increased confidence, and lifelong connections and friendships.

*NEW*: Introducing a Three-Week LIT Option! Participants can now experience the same engaging LIT leadership program in a three-week format, without the four-day canoe trip. This option includes the same leadership development opportunities, group sessions, and staff job-shadowing experiences, allowing LITs to build confidence, develop practical skills, and explore potential future roles at camp. Both options are part of the same LIT program, giving participants the chance to grow as leaders, gain hands-on experience, and build meaningful connections with their peers!

Thanks to the generosity of the Jean Wansbrough Leadership Training Fund, this program is being offered at a subsidized rate! Thank you to the JWLT fund for making this happen.

Glen Mhor Classic: Summer Kickoff (age 8-16)

Start your summer with a celebration! Summer Kickoff is a high-energy, creativity-filled classic camp experience for campers ages 7-15. Each day is filled with a mix of cabin-based and choice activities—canoeing, swimming, arts, climbing, and more—plus special kickoff events like the Summer Launch Party, First Splash Ceremony, and The Big Kick that will make this week unforgettable. Summer Kickoff Week is all about fun, friendship, and the joy of starting the season together at camp.

Adult Empower (age 18+)
Option A: $1,065 | Option B: $1,130 | Option C: $1,195

Cairn’s Adult Empower program offers adults with disabilities the chance to engage in outdoor recreation, develop new skills, and build independence in a supportive camp environment. With up to 7 participants and 2-3 staff per cabin, this lower staff-to-camper ratio allows participants more freedom to explore, try new challenges, and take on meaningful roles in camp activities. Adult Empower combines fun, skill-building, and contribution to the Cairn community, giving participants the space to grow, connect, and thrive. Interested participants should speak with the Camp Director prior to registration to ensure the program is the right fit.

Outrageous (age 8-12)

A week unlike any other, this camp session is full of unexpected twists and silly fun. Campers have the chance to influence the outrageous activities, putting their wacky ideas forward and have them drawn randomly throughout the week. In previous years, Outrageous camp has seen themed meals, like a pajama meal or a wacky hair meal; a camp-wide backwards day; and a truly outrageous messy afternoon that featured paint, whipped cream, and slime. Get ready, because camp is about to get OUTRAGEOUS.

Teen Showdown (age 13-16)
Option A: $875 | Option B: $925 | Option C: $975

Teen Showdown is a week of competition designed just for our oldest teen campers! Teens will participate in a variety of challenges each day to earn points for their team. Teams will then be able to cash in points at the Prize Shop for things like breakfast in bed, double dessert, or Cairn swag from the tuck shop. Along with the daily challenges, teens will enjoy a later start in the morning and later bedtimes, daily social hour, and the ability to choose their own activities each day. Get ready for a week of camp fun, growing friendships, and competitive spirit!

Adult Integration (age 18+)

Cairn's Adult Integration program is a program for adults with disabilities to participate in outdoor recreation activities while gaining workplace experience by supporting a variety of elements of Cairn’s program.

Glen Mhor Classic 2: Adventure Awaits (age 7-12)

Campers get the chance to participate in all the classic camp activities with a goal 
of harnessing new adventures! Expeditions on the water, special climbing wall challenges, and even a cookout in the great outdoors, this program finds new adventures every day.

Campers will continue to spend the week having a classic Glen Mhor experience – participating in a variety of cabin- and camper-choice activities like archery, high ropes, swimming, canoeing, music & drama, and arts & crafts. The whole camp comes together for camp-wide camp events like daily Free Swim, TLC (Talking and Learning in Christ), Evening Programs and Campfires.

Teen Adventure Camp (age 13-16)

Step into a week designed for teens seeking adventure, independence, and quality time with camp friends. Adventure Camp lets campers take the lead in shaping their experience, choosing two daily adventure blocks from canoeing, kayaking, climbing, high ropes, archery, and wilderness skills, and allowing them to build skills and have fun at their favourite camp activities. For the rest of the day, campers choose their own path - master a new skill, explore a favourite camp activity, or simply unwind with friends.

The week isn’t just about choice—it’s about connection. Shared adventures give teens a chance to bond, tackle challenges together, and build confidence in a supportive group of peers. Whether you’re pushing your limits on the high ropes or relaxing around a campfire, Adventure Campers will leave with skills, stories, and friendships that will last far beyond the summer.

Get ready for a new adventure! Designed for beginners, this four-day canoe tripping program is the perfect introduction to exploring Ontario’s lakes and waterways by canoe. Campers will learn the fundamentals of canoeing, develop their paddling skills, and build confidence on the water before heading out on a four-day expedition. Along the way, campers will build strong connections with their fellow trippers, learn new skills, take on new challenges, and immerse themselves in the natural beauty of Ontario’s wilderness. With guidance and support from the two Cairn trippers, campers will discover the joys of canoe tripping and experience the magic of small-group, unit-based camping. Whether it’s your first time in a canoe or your first time on a canoe trip, this is the perfect place to start your journey. See you on the water!

Pee Wee Camp (age 5-6)

PeeWee Camp will welcome our youngest campers for a four-day, three-night overnight camp experience, designed to introduce them to Cairn's summer camp program. Campers will swim, dance, play, sing, run, create, and even canoe to a nearby island for a special out-lunch. Everything is specifically designed to ensure that our youngest and newest campers have an outstanding experience, from kid-friendly meals, to an increased staff-to-camper ratio. We can’t wait to be a part of your child’s first camp experience!

Junior Adventurers (age 7-9)
Option A: $440 | Option B: $465 | Option C: $490

Junior Adventurers provides the opportunity for campers to romp-stomp around in the woods, run until they are tired, explore Echo Lake, and learn to find adventure around every corner. This 4-day program is a great introduction to camp for a first-time camper, or for a returning Cairn camper to introduce a friend to camp. It's also just a great chance for our young junior campers to get outside, seek adventure, and discover something new!

Glen Mhor Classic 3: Dare to Discover (age 7-12)
Option A: $875 | Option B: $925 | Option C: $975

Want to see camp from a new point of view? This classic program is made for you. Campers will get the chance to participate in all regular camp programming plus a few special extras. Discover new places at camp, and fun twists on favourite games. Dare to discover is perfect for campers who think they've seen it all, and are ready to be surprised. 

Campers will continue to spend the week having a classic Glen Mhor experience – participating in a variety of cabin- and camper-choice activities like archery, high ropes, swimming, canoeing, music & drama, and arts & crafts. The whole camp comes together for camp-wide camp events like daily Free Swim, TLC (Talking and Learning in Christ), Evening Programs and Campfires.

Pay it Forward (age 13-16)
Option A: $725 | Option B: $765 | Option C: $805

This summer, make a difference - and have a blast while doing so! Our teen-only Pay It Forward program gives you the chance to earn up to 25 community service hours for your Ontario Secondary School Diploma while helping younger campers and taking on leadership opportunities. You’ll still enjoy all the classic Cairn Camp adventures—canoeing, swimming, arts, sports, and campfires—while making friends, building skills, and seeing the real impact of your efforts. It’s your summer to have fun, lead, and leave your mark on our camp community.

Teen Trip (age 13-16)

Get ready for a trip through Algonquin Park! Designed for novice and experienced trippers alike, campers will be refreshed on basic canoe techniques prior to their departure from camp, then will head out for a five-day canoe trip, canoeing through the lakes of Ontario’s most famous provincial park! Canoe tripping provides the opportunity for campers to build strong connections and relationships with their fellow campers through learning new skills, overcoming physical challenges, being immersed in the natural beauty of Ontario's rivers and lakes, and experiencing the epitome of small-group unit-based camping -all while being guided by the two Cairn trippers. See you on the water!

The Creative Collective (age 8-12)
Option A: $875 | Option B: $925 | Option C: $975

The Creative Collective invites campers to explore their imaginations through music, visual art, dance, and drama while still experiencing all the best parts of camp life — swimming, campfires, games, and time outdoors. Campers are able to choose two specialty programs each day where they will delve into exploring, learning and creating through that art form every day. For the rest of the day, they have fun in the rest of the classic camp activities. All arts programs build toward a Friday showcase, that will stay set up for families to see at pickup on Saturday morning! Join the Creative Collective for a chance to imagine, learn, explore and - of course - create!

Teen Week (age 13-16)

Teen Week is designed especially for our oldest campers, featuring exhilarating evening camp-wide games, daily social hour, late night bedtimes, and a more relaxed schedule. Along with all of the typical Glen Mhor activities, campers will also experience some Teen Week exclusive traditions like the week-long Cat Cup spirit competition. Come experience a week full of ridiculous cabin competitions, amazing activities, incredible moments and fantastic friendships.

Intermediate Trip (age 10-13)

Get ready for a trip through the Haliburton Highlands! Designed for novice and experienced trippers alike, campers will be refreshed on basic canoe techniques prior to their departure from camp, then will head out for a five-day canoe trip, canoeing through the lakes of the Frost Centre! Canoe tripping provides the opportunity for campers to build strong connections and relationships with their fellow campers through learning new skills, overcoming physical challenges, being immersed in the natural beauty of Ontario's rivers and lakes, and experiencing the epitome of small-group unit-based camping -all while being guided by the two Cairn trippers. See you on the water!

Colour Games (age 8-16)
Option A: $875 | Option B: $925 | Option C:$975

Once again, the Red Dragons and the Blue Knights will compete in games of sport, logic, art, and nature to find out who will be the new reigning champions. Campers will get to experience all of the typical Glen Mhor activities along with 2 full-to-the-max-fun days of Colour Games. At an unknown time during the week, Colour Games will break, at which point each camper becomes either a Blue Knight or a Red Dragon, representing their team individually and in group events for two days of competitions. Throughout the games, campers fight hard for their team, while practicing the values of friendly competition, sportsmanship, and teamwork. The Blue Knights claimed the title to rule the kingdom in 2025 – who will it be this year?
